Job summary
Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to design and develop ground structural systems for launch-site hardware at Cape Canaveral. You will lead subsystem design efforts and independently resolve technical challenges while coordinating with fabrication partners to ensure proper assembly and testing of GSE for New Glenn programs.
The role requires advanced structural analysis experience, knowledge of codes and standards, and a track record of delivering complex aerospace
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or similar discipline.
- 7+ years in design/analysis/construction of large steel structures.
- Experience with FEA tools and structural analysis.
- Experience with bolted and welded connections.
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE, AISC, AWS etc.
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts for assigned subsystems and resolve technical challenges.
- Own/ deliver structural solutions for large mechanical systems.
- Perform/review FEA and hand calculations for complex steel structures.
- Manage external design and fabrication partners through full project lifecycle.
