Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced structural engineer to lead advanced analyses for its spaceflight systems, including New Glenn components. You will direct project teams, perform FEA on composites and metals, and develop validated models to optimize weight and durability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience performing structural analysis.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional projects.
  • Strong knowledge of material properties and structural dynamics.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software; FEMAP preferred.
  • Ability to write technical reports and present results to teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced structural analyses for aerospace components.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams and milestones.
  • Perform FEA and other methods across composites and metals.
  • Develop and validate analytical models for structural performance.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing and test teams.
  • Mentor junior analysts and engineers.
  • Produce reports and engineering documentation.
  • Identify best practices in structural analysis.
