Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to perform complete design tasks for projects of varying sizes. You will develop conceptual layouts, prepare design calculations, and produce drawings while collaborating with a multi-discipline team under general supervision.

The ideal candidate has a B.S./M.S. in Civil Engineering, 3+ years of industry experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant civil/structural engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of the International Building Code and related standards (ASCE/AISC/ACI).
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation) and structural analysis tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong communication skills.
• Able to lead small to medium teams and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete civil/structural design tasks and prepare detailed calculations and drawings.
• Develop conceptual layouts, preliminary designs, and material take-offs.
• Review vendor drawings and assist drafting with layout challenges.
• Coordinate with design leaders from other disciplines to ensure timely project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff and lead small to mid-size teams.
• Contribute to construction specifications and field data gathering.
