Job summary

GameStop in Michigan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations. You will develop a sales culture by creating individualized solutions for guests and delivering outstanding guest service through professional conduct and passion for gaming.

You will supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders, ensure the store is clean, organized, and merchandised, process transactions, and uphold company policies while driving sales and guest loyalty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate/bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 6 months retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, address questions, and promote promotions.
• Assist with store operations, merchandising, and guest relationships to drive sales and loyalty.
• Process guest purchases/returns using POS, ensuring accuracy and courtesy.
• Promote loyalty programs (Reservations, trade-ins, Pro Rewards) to grow guest engagement.
• Supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Schedule staff, manage onboarding/training, and monitor adherence to policies.
• Support inventory control, loss prevention, and daily closeout tasks.
