Job summary

GameStop in the United States is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager with all facets of store operations and guest service. You will develop sales by sharing gaming knowledge, maintain a clean, well-merchandised store, and drive loyalty and repeat business.

The role requires leadership of Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders, ensuring policy compliance, accurate POS transactions, and a strong guest-focused culture in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service; greet guests and assist with gaming needs.
• Promote store initiatives and ensure a clean, organized shopping environment.
• Process transactions accurately using POS and handle returns efficiently.
• Assist Store Manager with coaching and training of sales staff.
• Schedule associates and manage payroll and attendance records as directed.
• Ensure adherence to policies and exceptional guest experience.
