Job summary

SGMC Health Careers is seeking a Processing Technician to support sterilization and instrument reprocessing across hospital departments. You will decontaminate, reprocess, and assemble trays and equipment for OR, L&D, and other units, while upholding infection control standards and QA measures.

Supervisory duties may be required in the absence of the SPD Manager. You will work in the Sterile Processing Department on an evening shift, contributing to patient safety and quality care in a dynamic

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED with 3 years of Central Sterile Processing experience or completion of Surgical Technology program.
• CSPT certification or Surgical Technology program completion preferred.
• Knowledge of patient age-appropriate care across life stages and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instrument handling and sterilization in OR and central sterile areas.
• Assemble and prepare case carts and trays for surgical procedures and L&D, radiology, and other departments.
• Maintain infection control policies and QA standards and support performance improvement efforts.
• Provide supervision to SPD technicians in the absence of the Manager.
