Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a Processing Technician at the Main Campus, Sterile Processing Department. The role supports instrument handling, decontamination, and sterilization across OR and SPD areas, ensuring timely delivery of clean instruments for surgeries.

The ideal candidate has CSPT certification or completed Surgical Technology training, with strong teamwork and infection-control knowledge. Opportunities for growth and on-the-job training are available within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• HS/GED with 3+ years CSP experience or Surgical Technology program completion.
• CSPT certification or Surgical Technology program preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, process and sterilize instrumentation per policy.
• Assemble, maintain and ensure functionality of instruments and case carts.
• Prepare trays for procedures across departments and hospital areas.
• Provide leadership in SPD in absence of manager; uphold QA and infection control.
