Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved, accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology Program.
• 3-5 years experience in sterile processing/OR environment.
• Committed to excellence in patient care and customer service.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
• Demonstrates ability to utilize effective, appropriate and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinates SPD activities including decontaminating, cleaning, processing and assembling instruments.
• Plan daily assignments and prioritize sterilization according to OR schedule.
• Ensure adherence to infection control standards and documentation.
• Maintain inventory levels and manage budget for the department.
• Liaise between SPD and OR and assist with vendor coordination.
