Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO seeks a Sterile Processing SPD Technician for a 10:00 AM–6:30 PM shift to support the department''s mission. You will clean, decontaminate and sterilize instruments, prep and pack case carts, manage receiving and stocking, and maintain accurate data entry and inventory control while collaborating with OR teams.

A high school diploma or GED and SPD-related certification/experience are preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs and detail‑oriented

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Central Service or Instrument Tech certification/program.
• Surgical Tech program graduate.
• 5+ years of hands‑on instrument tech experience in the Operating Room.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Prep and pack surgical case carts.
• Receive, store, and distribute supplies and equipment.
• Data entry and inventory control.
• Be a team player who can support multiple SPD areas.
