Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to retrieve, decontaminate, clean, assemble, process and sterilize medical devices and supplies used in patient care.

The role includes packaging, quality checks and preparing case carts for the Operating Room, with high level disinfection when required. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent and SPD certification within 18 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• SPD certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
• On-the-job training with at least 8 weeks of orientation is provided.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve, decontaminate, clean, assemble, process, sterilize, store and distribute medical devices and supplies.
• Perform quality checks for cleanliness and proper functioning of instruments.
• Prepare case carts for the Operating Room and perform high level disinfection when needed.
