Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Wichita, KS seeks a Senior Stress Engineer to analyze aircraft structures as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role involves static and numerically assisted stress analysis for airframes, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with design and fatigue groups to deliver robust solutions.

You will work on complex projects on-site at the Wichita campus and interact with stakeholders across Airbus. Strong leadership and ENGLISH communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) required.
• Minimum nine (9) years total experience in analysis with airframe structures.
• In-depth knowledge of classical and numerical (Finite Element) stress analysis methods.
• Able to lead teams technically to achieve milestones.
• Effective communication and presentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously perform complex analyses to verify structural integrity requirements.
• Document analyses for trade studies and sign-offs on airframe structure.
• Collaborate with Design, Fatigue and other Airbus departments for optimum design.
• Mentor and provide leadership to less experienced analysts.
• Lead preparation of technical material and presentations; manage deadlines.
