Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Gas and Chemical Systems Bulk Gas Engineering Team Lead to own, maintain, and improve specialty and bulk gas equipment. You will collaborate with on-site operations, maintenance, vendors, and customer groups to ensure equipment performance and reliable gas supply for fab production.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, project execution for new equipment, and development of processes to enhance safety, quality, and reliability across the gas systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with bulk gas systems and reputable bulk gas providers.
• At least six years in engineering roles related to gas systems or SAS experience on an equipment team.
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) or Risk Management Plan (RMP) programs.
• Excellent communication skills, able to represent GCS to Fab Engineering, Procurement & Finance teams, vendors, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in safety initiatives to drive world-class safety performance within the team.
• Provide technical ownership for supply systems, safety and quality standards; interact with operations, maintenance, construction teams, and vendors.
• Troubleshoot emergent equipment issues and provide direction to resolve them.
• Coordinate with maintenance to plan non-standard equipment maintenance and improvements.
• Support Fab Engineering with technical issues and collaboration for safety, quality, and reliability improvements.
• Assist commissioning and startup of new equipment installations.
• Lead and support MOC for PSM and RMP covered processes.
