Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our on-site summer camps. You will manage prep, production, staffing, and allergen safety in a high-volume, rustic setting.

This hands-on role requires 2+ years in kitchen leadership, ServSafe Allergens certification, and the ability to live on-site for a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week. Competitive pay and room & board are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date (company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Manage food allergy protocols and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Act as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
