Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site summer camp program. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety across a high-volume kitchen.

Join a fast-paced team in a live-in setting, working a demanding 6-day/70-hour week with competitive seasonal pay, bonus potential, and room-and-board provided for the contract duration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate iPad, versatile with ingredients, identify all Big 9 Allergens, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
