Job summary
Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camps. You will oversee all prep and production for the day part, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety protocols in a fast-paced, on-site setting.
Live on-site, you will thrive in a high-volume environment, coordinating with camp leadership and campers. This role includes room and board for the contract duration and a competitive seasonal pay plus bonus structure.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
- ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
- Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, identify Big 9 Allergens, and problem-solving.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work hot/cold kitchen settings, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to live on-site in rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.
Responsibilities
- Oversee prep and production for designated day part.
- Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
- Ensure allergen safety protocols and sanitation standards are met.
- Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
- Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
