Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Communication Systems Modeling & Simulation engineer to lead design, development, integration, and validation of advanced communications systems for satellites and airborne platforms.

You will drive architecture trade studies, model performance, and guide cross‑functional teams from concept through verification and production while promoting engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8–12 years in systems engineering or related field, or advanced degrees with fewer years.
• Advanced knowledge of communications systems, systems engineering principles, and interface management.
• Proficiency with modeling, simulation tools, and engineering analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of communications system architectures and performance models.
• Guide system modeling, trade studies, and integration across programs.
• Prepare technical documentation and verification reports.
• Lead design reviews and technical investigations across teams.
