Job summary

Universal Orlando is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to oversee the preparation and production of food in a specific area of the Food Service Department and directly supervise a food service outlet.

The role requires 3–5 years in a supervisory chef position, a High School diploma or GED, and a Professional Food Manager Certification. Responsibilities include training staff, managing inventories, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and developing recipes for events.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in a supervisory Chef position or equivalent.
  • High School or GED required.
  • Professional Food Manager Certification required.
  • Chef apprentice preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and assists in preparation and presentation of all food items.
  • Schedules employees and production according to attendance.
  • Orders food materials and controls waste and food cost monthly.
  • Trains staff in production and presentation; maintains recipe books and training logs.
  • Creates new recipes for events and the restaurant.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment; coordinates equipment maintenance and sanitation.
  • Actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities per UO policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
