Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced kitchen supervisor to lead culinary teams and ensure high-quality, cost-conscious food production for a boutique hotel. You will manage staffing, meal preparation, and adherence to recipes and health standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, teamwork with other departments, and the ability to execute special events and coordinated menus. Join a historic-scale property with a focus on guest-centric experiences.

Qualifications

• Managerial and production experience in a hotel or resort.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate job functions.
• Knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, and work with chefs’ staff to prepare, cook, and present food per recipes.
• Assist in control of food, labor, and departmental expenses.
• Schedule staff to ensure coverage while controlling payroll costs.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, storage, and rotation of food to meet health regulations.
• Adhere to cost and quality control procedures.
• Supervise daily safety and sanitation practices.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and preventive programs.
• Perform other duties including development of events and VIPs.
