Job summary

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary operation for The Commoner, Banquets and catering events, inspiring excellence in food quality, presentation and guest experience.

You will hire, train, schedule and supervise chefs and kitchen staff, develop innovative menus, manage food and labor costs, collaborate with marketing for on-property programming and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2- or 4-year culinary degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum of two years' experience as an Executive Chef.
• Knowledge of food costing, menu development and people management.
• Ability to obtain ServSafe, CPR and/or First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the culinary operation for The Commoner, Banquets and catering events.
• Interview, hire, train, supervise, schedule and manage kitchen staff.
• Develop new menus and items based on trends and client budgets.
• Control labor and food costs and ensure food quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Marketing for on-property programming and campaigns.
