The Cooper in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced Sommelier to lead our wine program and mentor staff in wine knowledge, delivering exceptional guest service. You will oversee inventory and wine service, collaborate with chefs and managers, and train new hires to uphold our standards.

You must excel in team leadership, communication, and knowledge of wine pairings, menu changes, and service guidelines to enhance dining room operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years of fine dining leadership experience.
• Knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least 5 total years of dining room service experience.
• MS Level II certification is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee wine service and mentor staff in wine knowledge.
• Train and develop new hires in wine program and service standards.
• Ensure VIP procedures and special requests are followed.
