Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Jal, NM seeks a Lead Solar Technician to operate and maintain the Tip Top Solar Energy Center. You will lead a multi-skilled team, ensure safe, cost-effective operations, and support maintenance activities on a 110MWAC facility.

The role requires a high school diploma and 4+ years in renewable energy ops & maintenance (or 8+ years related). Travel up to 30% and night work during maintenance may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the team and set an example; fill in for Operations Manager during absence.
• Provide maintenance and technical support for safe, cost-efficient operation.
• Work schedule 7:00am–3:30pm with overtime during peak periods; adapt to varying schedules.
• Assist with staffing, coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
• Contribute to P&L reporting and spare parts inventory management.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and part replacement as directed.
• Operate the facility during normal, off-normal, and emergency conditions per procedures.
• Help develop operating procedures, environmental reporting, purchasing, and contractor oversight.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical/electrical issues including PV systems and SCADA.
