Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking an Advanced Solar Technician for the Hollis Creek Energy Center in Many, LA. The role supports operating and maintaining a 200 MW-AC solar facility, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

The position requires 4+ years in renewable energy O&M (or 8+ years), willingness to travel up to 30%, and the ability to work nights during maintenance, with safety as a priority and mandatory safety training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in renewable energy (solar or wind) operations and maintenance, or eight (8+) years of relevant experience.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to support other project sites in the region.
• Willing to work nights during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to climb and work safely from a portable step ladder.
• Ability to understand directions, follow procedures, and complete tasks with minimal oversight.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on all site solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Perform vegetation management, including operating large equipment to maintain the site per plan.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues, including inverter faults and substation issues.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of all solar site components.
• Conduct daily site maintenance with safety equipment to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment.
• Maintain tooling, facilities, and a clean, safe work environment.
