Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the DET IT Finance Engineering team to direct Workday Finance and MuleSoft integration strategy. You will shape cloud-native platforms on AWS/GCP, champion AI tooling, and mentor engineers to deliver scalable finance solutions across the enterprise.

You will lead end-to-end integration architecture, ensure security and reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive intelligent, automated finance workflows at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience with integration focus.
• Demonstrated leadership in architecture and design for large-scale systems.
• Expert knowledge of Workday technical frameworks and integration tools.
• Hands-on MuleSoft integration expertise and API-led connectivity.
• Strong understanding of SOA, event-driven design, and async messaging patterns.
• Experience with AI developer productivity tools and embedding AI into workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to explain complex designs.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architecture for Workday Financials, Accounting Center, and enterprise integrations.
• Architect and deliver secure, scalable Workday-MuleSoft integrations across systems.
• Lead adoption of AI developer tools and automation in the engineering lifecycle.
• Design and operate cloud-native integration infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
• Mentor engineers, foster learning, and collaborate across functions to deliver scalable solutions.
