Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the DET IT Finance Engineering team to set the technical direction for Workday Finance and MuleSoft integrations. You will drive API-led connectivity, AI tooling adoption, and cloud-native design across AWS/GCP, influencing architecture and scalability at enterprise scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, including Workday/Finance integration environments.
• Technical leadership in architecture and solution design for large-scale enterprise systems.
• Workday technical frameworks: Business Processes, Security, Accounting Center, Prism Analytics, Core Connectors, EIB, Studio, Workday Extend, Orchestrate, BIRT, Document Transformation.
• Hands-on mastery of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform—Studio, ESB, API Management, CloudHub, and API-led integrations.
• Strong understanding of integration architecture: SOA, event-driven design, API design, REST/SOAP, async messaging.
• Experience with AI developer productivity tools and embedding AI in workflows.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including log analysis.
• Excellent communication; ability to explain complex designs.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern end-to-end architecture for Workday Financials and enterprise integrations.
• Architect and deliver secure, scalable Workday-MuleSoft integrations across Salesforce and banking platforms.
• Lead AI tooling adoption and integration into the engineering lifecycle.
• Design and operate cloud-native integration infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-functional collaboration on end-to-end solutions.
