Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to guide Workday Financials integrations and MuleSoft architecture within the DET IT Finance Engineering team. You will drive secure API-led integrations across Salesforce and external platforms, champion AI tools, and shape cloud-native integration patterns in AWS/GCP.

You will mentor engineers, set architectural standards, and lead complex enterprise projects at scale.

Qualifications

10+ years in enterprise software engineering with Workday Financials and integration-heavy contexts.
Strong technical leadership in architecture and solution design for large-scale enterprise systems.
Expert knowledge of Workday technical frameworks: Business Processes, Security, Accounting Center, Prism Analytics, Core Connectors, EIB, Studio, Workday Extend, Orchestrate, BIRT, and Document Transformation.
Hands-on mastery of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and building scalable API-led integrations.
Experience with AI developer productivity tools (Cursor, Copilot, CodeWhisperer) and embedding AI into engineering workflows.
Excellent problem solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Define and govern end-to-end architecture for Workday Financials and enterprise integration platforms.
Architect and deliver secure, scalable Workday-MuleSoft integrations across Salesforce, RevRec, Vertex, and banking platforms.
Lead adoption of AI developer tools and automation platforms within the engineering lifecycle.
Design and operate cloud-native integration infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP, adopting event-driven and serverless patterns.
Mentor engineers through architecture reviews and foster a culture of learning and experimentation.
