Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Lead Field Engineer (Siteworks) for the SPL5 expansion project in Cameron Parish, LA, with initial work in Houston, TX. The role involves supervising field teams, coordinating ground improvement, earthworks, roads and drainage, and ensuring safety and quality on a major LNG facility program.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and 5–8 years of site experience. Experience with Bechtel BSAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other relevant technical discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant work experience, or 9–12 years in the absence of a degree.
• Experience implementing Bechtel Standard Work Process Procedures and Bechtel BSAP systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with field supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical assistance, direction, and support to field supervision for Siteworks operations.
• Developing installation work packages and short- to long-term schedules for construction.
• Monitoring field progress, conducting inspections, and ensuring quality documentation and as-built records.
• Ensuring installations follow latest design drawings, specs, standards, and codes.
• Coaching direct reports and coordinating with procurement and project controls.
