Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an Infrastructure Area Field Engineer for the SPL5 project. You will organize multi-discipline field engineering teams, support preconstruction planning in Houston and mobilize to Sabine Pass, LA on a long‑term basis.

Responsibilities include coordinating with design, managing cost and schedules, overseeing Bechtel standard processes, and ensuring ES&H and quality programs are followed. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5–10 years of relevant field engineering and supervisory experience.
• Experience with Bechtel Standard Work Process Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with design engineering group for constructability and design issues.
• Establish design/field engineering relationships and communication lines with Project Engineer.
• Responsible for quantity take-off, control, tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
• Direct the design of temporary construction facilities as required.
• Direct preparation of requisitions for field materials, substitutions, services, and equipment.
• Review material receiving reports and warehousing to assure correct materials.
• Coordinate interface between construction automation plan and project controls.
• Develop and manage the construction quality program.
• Direct preparation of cost estimates and project cost reports.
• Coordinate with Superintendents and Subcontractors to plan schedules.
