Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to define reliability strategy for the AI/ML data platform. You will lead incident response, drive release readiness, and champion AI-assisted reliability across SDLC with strong governance and risk controls.

You will mentor engineers, perform resiliency reviews, and guide engineering teams toward scalable, secure, and measurable reliability improvements in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, and enterprise system architecture.
• Fluent in Python.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows with validation and data sensitivity awareness.
• Ability to evaluate AI-assisted operational recommendations for correctness and risk, and define guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the incident management process, including triage, escalation, stakeholder communications, and recovery.
• Serve as Incident Commander for major incidents, coaching responders to follow defined processes and lead problem management and root cause analysis.
• Drive operational readiness and strengthen change and release management practices by establishing readiness checks and delivery standards.
• Facilitate operational forums including operations reviews, incident review boards, and reliability councils to drive accountability and align priorities.
• Promote site reliability culture and share knowledge via internal forums and communities of practice.
• Lead initiatives to improve reliability and stability of applications and platforms using data-driven analytics to improve service levels.
• Collaborate to establish service level indicators and agree on SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets with customers.
• Leverage AI capabilities to accelerate major-incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis with proper validation.
