Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is recruiting a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to define the future of reliability on the AI ML and Data platform. You will lead a team, drive resiliency reviews, and mentor engineers while advocating for secure, observable, scalable systems across AI/ML workloads.

The role requires hands-on design, strong communication with stakeholders, on-call incident leadership, and cross-functional collaboration for dependable cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in SRE concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS).
• Ability to mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Experience applying enterprise AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows with validation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions to enhance reliability and scalability of AI/ML platforms and applications.
• Partner with product engineering teams to ensure AI/ML systems are reliable and high performing.
• Develop observability, security, automation and fin-ops tools and orchestration.
• Provide strategic technology leadership by defining and evaluating standards and architecture for reliability and automation frameworks.
• Build cross-functional relationships to deliver solutions to user problems.
• Debug and solve issues in production environments; identify root causes and remediation.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident management and escalation workflows.
• Take ownership of problems, develop solutions, and acquire new knowledge.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Leads reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows across SDLC/toolchain practices.
