Job summary

Amrize in the United States is seeking a Lead Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. You will lead maintenance activities, install and assemble new machines, and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial equipment, strong leadership, and solid knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience with MSHA regulations and safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct daily maintenance activities, assigning work, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on quarry equipment including crushers, conveyors, and material handling systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical failures to minimize downtime.
• Inspect plant equipment and identify issues before failures or interruptions occur.
• Coordinate with operations to prioritize maintenance and schedule planned shutdowns.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory; ensure tools/equipment are well maintained.
• Ensure MSHA regulations and safety policies are followed; promote a safe work environment.
• Train and mentor maintenance team members to support continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
