Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of construction materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Mobile Mechanic at the Millville Quarry located in Millville, WV. You will maintain and repair the heavy mobile equipment used to extract, transport, and move aggregate materials.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience maintaining heavy construction, mining or quarry equipment, and knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of experience maintaining heavy construction or quarry equipment.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Commitment to MSHA safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
• Weld, cut, and fabricate as needed.
• Maintain work orders and inspection reports.
• Inspect equipment daily and recommend preventive actions.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment following MSHA rules.
• Coordinate with operations to prioritize repairs.
• Assist with parts inventory and maintenance documentation.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental policies.
