Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Lead Shift Maintenance Mechanic at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. You will install and assemble new machines, run a preventative maintenance schedule, and troubleshoot equipment to keep production on track.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of heavy industrial maintenance, show leadership, and possess strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. MSHA safety compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment in aggregates/mining/quarry environments.
• Strong leadership to supervise, mentor, and motivate a maintenance team while promoting safety.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems; strong diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct daily maintenance activities, assigning work to maintenance personnel and ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on crushing, screening, conveying, and material handling equipment, as well as heavy mobile equipment used in quarry operations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system failures to minimize equipment downtime and maintain production goals.
• Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment and identify potential issues before they result in equipment failure or production interruptions.
• Coordinate with operations personnel to prioritize maintenance work and schedule planned shutdowns to maximize plant productivity.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory while ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Ensure compliance with all MSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental standards, while promoting a safe work environment for all employees.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to maintenance team members, fostering continuous improvement and supporting the development of employee skills.
