Job summary

Amrize in Millville, WV is hiring a Lead Shift Maintenance Mechanic to install, assemble and service equipment at the Millville Quarry. You will lead the maintenance team, execute preventive maintenance, and manage a preventative schedule to keep production on track.

The role requires 5+ years of heavy industry experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and a safety-first mindset with MSHA compliance. Typical hours span early morning to evening shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience in aggregates, mining, quarry or similar production environments.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and safety culture.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Willing to work flexible hours and endure physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance activities and assign work to the team.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on quarry equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical failures.
• Conduct routine inspections to prevent downtime.
• Coordinate shutdowns with operations to maximize productivity.
• Maintain maintenance records and parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations and safety policies.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff; promote continuous improvement.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental practices on site.
