Job summary

The Community Builders is seeking a Service Technician III for our Franklin School location in Lexington, MA. Under the direction of the Service Maintenance Manager, you will respond to service requests, prepare apartments for move-ins, and maintain interior, exterior, and site grounds with a focus on safety and quality.

This Lead Tech role requires five days a week in the office, supervisory support to other techs, and coordination with contractors to ensure timely maintenance and inspections

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school or 5 years in property management or hospitality.
• Minimum of 5 years of advanced hands-on repair experience in three or more building trades; REAC/HQS experience preferred.
• Industry-Trade certifications/Degrees (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform repairs for appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, as well as basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare and perform repairs for vacant apartments to be ready for new resident move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces through cleaning, trash management, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Prepare and make repairs for REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
