Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. in Easthampton, MA seeks a Service Technician II to maintain our apartment communities. You will diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, electrical and HVAC systems while ensuring excellent resident service and safety. Experience in two or more trades preferred.

This full-time role requires five days in the College Highway location and support for Northampton properties, with opportunity for growth within a mission-driven nonprofit real estate organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school or 3 years in property management or hospitality preferred.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred.
• Industry trade certs (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Monitor vendor preventive maintenance for building systems and components.
• Prepare repairs for vacant apartments for move-ins.
• Maintain grounds and common spaces, snow removal and cleaning.
• Assist with REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
• Maintain maintenance shop and inventory with safety mindset.
• Available for weekend work and on-call duties.
• Provide technical guidance to Maintenance Tech I.
