Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or related field.
• 8+ years of research experience, including 5+ years in industry.
• Extensive RNA-seq/NGS experience: library prep, sequencing, data analysis.
• Experience with FFPE samples.
• Strong written and verbal communication; fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to develop assays and maintain detailed records.

Responsibilities

• Lead assay development tasks to launch high-quality products for the BD Rhapsody platform, including feasibility studies, process and QC development, optimization, Verification & Validation, and tech transfer support.
• Drive development work in collaboration with wet-lab scientists, bioinformatics scientists, commercial and operational partners.
• Design and perform hands-on experiments to achieve development objectives.
• Independently analyze and interpret single-cell genomics data and present results to cross-functional teams.
• Compile analyses and develop protocols, technical notes, posters, and presentations showcasing Rhapsody platform performance.
• Provide scientific expertise to optimize current products and support the development of new product applications.
