Job summary

Waters Corporation in Milpitas, CA, is seeking a senior molecular biologist to lead assay development for the BD Rhapsody platform, with emphasis on feasibility studies, QC development, verification, validation, and tech transfer support.

You will collaborate with wet lab scientists and bioinformatics teams, analyze single-cell genomics data, develop protocols, and present results to cross-functional teams to advance product applications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or related field.
  • 8+ years of research experience, including 5+ years of industry experience
  • Extensive experience with RNA-seq and other next-generation sequencing techniques, including library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis
  • Experience with genomic assays using FFPE (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded) samples
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop assay products, critically analyze data, and maintain excellent experimental records

Responsibilities
