Job summary

Lowe's Home Centers, LLC in Akron, OH is hiring a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team and deliver an exceptional customer experience across departments. This role requires retail experience, strong communication, and flexible availability; occasional store opening/closing may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of retail experience OR 5 years of retail experience.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train associates, delegate tasks and manage performance.
• Greet customers, clarify needs and identify solutions, close sales.
• Oversee down stocking, inventory management, area recovery and safety.
• Communicate upward to management about concerns, issues and morale.
• Occasionally open/close store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
