Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates, deliver excellent customer service, and manage daily store operations. The role emphasizes coaching, performance management, and ensuring department coverage to meet sales and service goals.

Responsibilities include front-line customer engagement, merchandising, down stocking, safety walks, and potentially acting as manager-on-duty. Strong product knowledge and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of retail experience OR 5 years of retail experience.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
• Coach and train associates, delegating, following up on tasks, and ensuring adequate department coverage.
• Oversee customer-facing activities (greeting, identifying solutions, closing sales) and safety duties.
• Maintain broad product knowledge and engage across departments; communicate concerns up the chain.
• Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
• Travel to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores as needed.
