Job summary

Dollar General is hiring a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and support store management in achieving profitability and service goals.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to follow planograms, and attention to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety policies and planograms.
• Basic math and cash handling proficiency.
• Ability to operate a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, itemize totals, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays per planograms.
• Keep store clean and ready for customers; assist with setup and maintenance.
• Open/close store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store/Assistant Store Manager.
