Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store focusing on customer satisfaction. You will assist in locating and selling merchandise, operate the cash register, stock and display goods, and perform additional duties as directed by the Store Manager.

The role encompasses leading in the absence of managers and ensuring profitability while protecting assets. Prior supervisory exposure is preferred for this regular full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read planograms and merchandising guides.
• Strong mathematical abilities for payments and percentages.
• Experience with cash handling and checkout operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate displays; build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restroom and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Manager in their absence.
