Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in finding merchandise, operate a cash register, stock shelves, and help ensure store profitability while protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Basic math and cash handling abilities.
• Familiarity with cash register functions and payments.
• Knowledge of safety policies and asset protection practices.
• Ability to drive to the bank to deposit money if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and follow stocking processes.
• Keep the store clean and organized; manage trash and store upkeep.
• Assist in planogram implementation and maintenance.
• Open and close the store under store management direction.
• Perform duties of Store Manager or Assistant Manager in their absence.
