Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, welcoming store and lead customer service efforts. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and help manage store operations under the Store Manager's guidance.

The role includes taking on lead responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager, supporting planogram implementation, and ensuring a safe, efficient shopping environment for guests.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to follow safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Proficient in basic math calculations including percentages.
• Experience with cash register functions and processing payments.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and deposit control.
• Willingness to drive to the bank for deposits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and assist customers.
• Operate cashier and properly itemize purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock, restock, and rotate merchandise; build displays per planograms.
• Keep the store clean and organized; manage trash, cleaning, and sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Sales Associate and assist Store Manager in their absence.
