Job summary

Consor in Houston seeks a Roadway Engineering Designer to lead the development of complex transportation projects, applying advanced roadway, multimodal, and intersection design. You will coordinate design efforts, perform calculations, and produce construction documents while mentoring junior designers to deliver safe, sustainable transportation systems for our communities.

You will collaborate with drainage, traffic, structures, utilities, and environmental teams, apply TxDOT, AASHTO, MUTCD

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• 2+ years of Texas transportation engineering design experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required.
• Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and development of detailed roadway, multimodal, and intersection design plans and construction documents.
• Perform advanced engineering analyses related to alignments, geometrics, grading, sight distance, and multimodal facilities.
• Coordinate design activities across multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior designers.
• Support project planning, scheduling, QA/QC, and timely delivery of milestones.
