Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer in Texas to contribute to planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects under senior engineers. You will support roadway, multimodal designs and construction documentation to meet TxDOT guidelines.

This hybrid role offers growth toward project leadership, with collaboration across drainage, traffic, structures, utilities, and environmental teams. PE licensure and proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCAD, and Civil3D are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 4–10+ years of transportation engineering experience with TxDOT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCAD, and Civil3D software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and review roadway, highway, and multimodal design plans, specs, calculations, and reports.
• Apply design standards to ensure accurate, compliant, and constructible deliverables.
• Perform roadway geometric design, horizontal/vertical alignment, and corridor modeling.
• Develop construction plans, estimates, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated transportation solutions.
• Support meetings, presentations, and project reviews with clients and regulators.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and resolve design issues during construction.
