Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer in Houston to apply engineering principles to transportation project design and analysis. You will contribute to roadway and multimodal design, ensure compliance with standards, and begin taking ownership of assigned tasks while growing your professional judgment.

Ideal candidates have a PE license and 5–10+ years of transportation experience, with proficiency in MicroStation ORD, AutoCAD and Civil3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 5–10+ years of transportation engineering experience, preferably with TxDOT projects.
• Proficiency in MicroStation ORD, AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Proposal writing/marketing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design plans, calculations and technical reports for roadway and multimodal projects.
• Apply design standards and codes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and reviewing agencies.
• Perform design analyses, cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for project components.
• Assist in quality assurance reviews and respond to design comments.
