Job summary

Consor seeks a Roadway Design Engineer to design and deliver transportation projects, mentoring under senior engineers. You will contribute to roadways, multimodal designs, and associated documentation, working across disciplines.

The role involves preparation of plans, specs, calculations, and compliance with federal/state standards, with hybrid office/field work and exposure to varying weather conditions. A PE license and TxDOT experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 4-10+ years of transportation engineering experience with TxDOT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCad, and Civil3D software.
• Proposal writing/marketing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and review roadway, highway, and multimodal design plans and reports.
• Apply design standards to ensure accurate, compliant deliverables.
• Perform roadway geometric design and alignment development.
• Develop construction plans, estimates, and quantity calculations.
• Coordinate with drainage, traffic, structures, utilities, environmental, and survey professionals.
• Support client meetings, presentations, and project reviews.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and address comments.
• Provide engineering support during bidding and construction phases.
