Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway Engineering Designer to lead the development and delivery of complex transportation infrastructure projects in Texas.

You will provide advanced technical expertise in roadway and multimodal design, coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior designers, and ensure constructible, cost-effective solutions that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
2+ years of Texas transportation engineering design experience.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and development of detailed roadway, multimodal, and intersection design plans, technical specifications, engineer’s estimates, and construction documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Perform advanced engineering analyses and design calculations related to alignments, geometrics, grading, cross sections, sight distance, and multimodal facilities.
Coordinate and integrate design activities across multidisciplinary teams, providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior designers and staff.
Support project engineers with project planning, resource coordination, schedule management, QA/QC reviews, and timely delivery of milestones and submittals.
Utilize CAD and transportation design software to develop and review complex design models and respond to review comments.
