Job summary

RTX's Effector RF Design Team in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Engineer to lead RF mechanical packaging of antennas, RF circuits, radomes, and test gear. You will guide multi-discipline teams, set roadmaps, and refine requirements with customers and program leadership.

You will mentor staff and ensure performance, cost, and schedule targets are met. The role requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility, a STEM degree with 6+ years (or MS with 4+), and hands-on RF/mechanical design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 6 years of experience.
• Experience leading design, analysis, and/or leadership of RF mechanical products throughout the product life cycle.
• Experience creating Technical Data Packages (TDPs) using GD&T for RF products.
• Ability to obtain Interim U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date with potential for higher access.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities involving RF hardware.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and optimize team dynamics to deliver results.
• Conduct trade studies to select optimal solutions while managing cost, schedule, and performance.
• Regularly report task status to program leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Fill roles as needed to drive business unit success.
