Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer for the Effector RF Design Team in Tucson, AZ, to design packaging for RF products and guide multi-disciplinary teams through development cycles.

You will oversee RF hardware packaging, CAD modeling, and documentation, ensure requirements traceability, and mentor engineers. On-site role with potential relocation support and security clearance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required; 10+ years of experience or advanced degree with 8+ years.
• Design and analysis for RF packaging (CCAs, antennas, radomes, RF test gear) through product life cycle; 3D CAD used.
• Ability to obtain interim DoD security clearance prior to start; eligibility for special program access.

Responsibilities

• Guide RF hardware packaging design activities and multi-disciplinary teamwork.
• Conduct trade studies and develop forward plans meeting cost, schedule, and performance targets.
• Regularly report task status to engineering and customer leadership; support program reviews.
• Fill roles as needed to ensure business unit success.
